Recipes by Lion Carve Co. (“we”, “us”) is a small home-cooking community run by Lion Carve Co. This page explains, in plain words, what we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect

Your account: your email address, the display name you choose, and your password (stored only in scrambled, hashed form, never readable by us).
What you post: recipes, photos and notes you share. Recipes and photos you post are public on the site with your display name.
Saves and ratings: the recipes you save as favorites and the ratings and likes you give.
Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe.
Contact messages: what you write to us through the contact form or by email, your name, and the email address you give so we can reply. Messages are delivered to lioncarve@mail.tab.bot by an email-sending service.
Basic technical data: like every website, our host briefly sees your IP address. We use it only to block spam and abuse (for example, to limit how often someone can try to log in).
Visitor counts: we use a privacy-first analytics tool from our hosting provider that counts page views and load times. It sets no cookies, stores no personal information and does not follow you to other websites.

How we use it

To run the site: log you in, show your recipes and favorites, and count ratings.
To email you a confirmation link when you sign up (so we know the address is yours) and, if you subscribe, a confirmation link for the newsletter. You can unsubscribe any time.
To send the newsletter, if you asked for it. You can unsubscribe any time.
To answer your messages.
To keep the site safe and family-friendly, including checking uploaded photos and posts automatically before they appear.

Ask AI

When you use Ask AI, your question (and the recent questions in that chat) is sent to an AI service so it can write an answer. Uploaded photos are also checked by an AI service to make sure they are food photos. The question text and the answer are kept for up to 120 days so the site owner can review and improve answers (no name, email or IP address is stored with them). To research an answer, the question may also be sent to a web search service. Please don’t type private information into Ask AI.

What we don’t do

We never sell your personal information.
We don’t show ads or use advertising trackers.
We share data only with the services that run the site (hosting, storage and the AI service), and only as much as they need to do that job, or if the law requires it.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your own recipes at any time. To delete your account and your data, or to ask what we hold about you, email lioncarve@mail.tab.bot or send us a message and we will take care of it.

Kids welcome

Recipes by Lion Carve Co. is a clean, family-friendly kitchen. Kids are welcome to browse recipes, learn to cook, and ask the AI their cooking questions. For kids under 13, we ask that a parent or guardian sets up the account or gives permission first, and we don’t knowingly collect more than an email address.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
